COMMERCIAL
With the availability of such a vast range of materials and finishes to suit almost any budget, our free samples service can help our clients in the selection of the most appropriate product, at the earliest stage of the project. Our free site survey will identify not only the parameters for the flooring installation but other fundamental issues such as site access and any implications that the building footprint may have on the delivery and off-loading of materials. Our own directly employed fitters are fully CSCS compliant and experienced in the installation of the complete range of commercial products including designer vinyl’s, high quality carpets and wood laminates, carpet tiles, linoleum and heavy traffic products. Where appropriate, we will undertake flooring contracts whilst the building is in occupation, ensuring minimum disruption to staff and services.
EDUCATION
With completed projects as diverse as new-build schools undertaken within PFI initiatives, well-known public schools and colleges of further education, Phoenix is well versed in the flooring requirements of the education sector. Our philosophy of providing clients with a customer focused, high quality service is demonstrated clearly in the education sector, where working to tight deadlines within the overall construction programme, often in school holidays or out of school hours to ensure minimum disruption to students, is the norm. Whilst the sector traditionally demands a hardwearing flooring solution capable of withstanding heavy traffic in common areas, the ever-increasing expectation for good design at all levels, has resulted in an increased demand for flooring offering a combination of durability and aesthetics.
HEALTH
In a sector where hygiene is paramount, Phoenix operates to the strictest HTM regulations. The rigours of the health sector demand the most durable products, fitted to the highest specifications in order to provide long life expectancy. Phoenix, with a workforce of fifty experienced and qualified staff, operates to the highest standards, offering extensive warranties to meet the requirements of the sector and the PFI method of contract delivery. We appreciate that timescales in this sector are critical and will work in co-operation with the main contractor to help ensure project delivery to time with minimum disruption to either the client or other on-site trades.
LEISURE
In arguably the most demanding sector of the industry, Phoenix is often one of the last trades on-site. As a result, where schedules may have slipped we are able to work with the main contractor to help bring programmes back on track. With refurbishment contracts, Phoenix appreciates the need for out of hours working to prevent disruption to the day-to-day running of the facility and will co-ordinate with other trades to ensure a smooth project completion. The combination of hardwearing, non-slip flooring for heavy traffic and wet areas and design led solutions for reception and ‘soft’ areas necessitates a mix of flooring materials. Our status as recognised contractor’s for all the leading brands, from Amtico decorative vinyl’s to leading carpets and laminates, ensures that whatever the product, the same high level of quality installation will be achieved.
RESIDENTIAL
Continuing demand for city centre living has resulted in a higher specification of materials and finishes for each generation of new-build or refurbishment project. Because of our recognised installer status for all leading flooring brands, we are able to offer the widest choice of product for both common areas and apartments. Our free samples service can ease the selection process and our warehousing, with off-site cutting and storage for more than 200 pallets, acts as a distribution centre, ensuring the fastest delivery and installation times to meet our clients’ sales requirements. Deliveries, undertaken by our in-house distribution facility are scheduled to meet the strict requirements and restrictions of the site, providing a seamless service with our fitters and other on-site trades.
STUDENT ACCOMODATION
The growth in student numbers in recent years, has led to an increased demand for well designed, highly durable and easy to maintain flooring for both new-build and refurbishment projects. Phoenix has completed in excess of 25 contracts in the past 3 years either directly for prestigious universities such as Leeds or for recognised developers and contractors specialising in high quality new-build student accommodation. Often undertaken out of term time to prevent disruption to student work and life, the projects have included study and recreational facilities, gyms and common areas; incorporating a range of products from highly durable non-slip lino and vinyl’s to decorative carpets and laminates.
